Matt Takacs has obtained LEED AP Accreditation
Greensboro, NC - February 24, 2009 - Efird Sutphin Pearce & Associates, PA announced today that staff architect Matt Takacs, AIA has obtained LEED AP Accreditation. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), which is administered by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI), distinguishes building professionals such as architects with the knowledge and skills to successfully steward the LEED certification process.

Matt graduated with a Master in Architecture from North Carolina State University in 2005 and obtained his North Carolina architectural license in 2007. As a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) he has demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles and the LEED Green Building Rating System.

Efird Sutphin Pearce & Associates' President, Jody Efird, said that this enhanced capability will allow the firm to offer leadership with sustainable design and ‘green’ architecture to the local Triad community and participate in the global effort to fight climate change and energy consumption especially as it relates to the built environment.
